Victory is Mine
August 17, 2008I did it. Mostly. They say that having the right tools is the most important thing, and I’m beginning to agree; especially as it pertains to setting up a self-hosted wordpress blog. But! I did it. I finally succeeded where so many have failed, and for that I am proud.
My secret? One word. Bitnami.
Excuse Pike Sorry
August 6, 2008Dear Readers,
The title of this post is an attempt to say everything I was going to say, but in a title, which, as you can see, is limited in it’s capacity to explain. So, let me explain.
Excuse
My excuse for the lack of blogging here is twenty-eight fold. Where to begin . . . .
I learn all my best words from Calvin
July 26, 2008If it weren’t for Calvin & Hobbes, I would have the vocabulary of a six year old. Come to think of it, I think Calvin is six.
My Self-help
July 17, 2008After reading a really good (and detailed!) comment by Deb, a great post by Jamie, another post by the lady at Thrilled By The Thought (what’s your name?) that referred to a masterful narrative on this site, and also reading and thinking more about Making the Impossible Possible, I’m convinced there is a better self-help out there. It’s a kind of self-help that doesn’t require any books or programs. It just requires a willingness to give of yourself.
Clarity in the Morning
July 17, 2008Last night, as I got ready for bed, I realized how unproductive I was when tired. This is disappointing to me, because I have been trying to get up early to be more productive, but if that just makes me more tired and consequently less productive, then what’s the point?
Well, this morning I discovered what the point was. Clarity.
Too Good Not To Share
July 16, 2008Some things are simply too good not to share. No, I’m not talking about the latest hollywood gossip, or a great recipe for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Just one word: necrophagous.
That’s right, necrophagous, the newest addition to my arsenal of words-I-know-but-you-don’t-so-ha-ha, even if it’s short lived.
